Recently Paul Lockwood, Maintenance Welder with IAP was appointed Shop Steward in the Project Branch while Bruce Hasson was appointed Shop Steward for Akima’s Small Arms Shop and V&E Supply. Bruce was also selected to fill an unexpired vacant term on the Union’s Executive Board.

On Tuesday, August 5, 2008 TWU Local 527 members at Syska Hennessy of Fort Gordon’s Eisenhower Medical Center elected Ken Amerhein as their Shop Steward. Ken is a HVAC Mechanic. The first meeting of their Contract Review Committee was scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2008. The members of the committee are, Ken Amerhein, David Johnson, Electronic Technician II, Bruce Keller, Maintenance Electrician and Thomas Reynolds, General Maintenance Worker.

As promised Genco Infrastructure Solutions, the prime contractor at Fort Lee, Virginia shared its bonus with its employees and the employees of their subcontractor, Advanced Federal Services. A $200.00 bonus was received in the pay checks of each employee.
